Guidon (Guy) F. Sarti, 85, of Moosic, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at Regional Hospital, Scranton.
Born in Pittston on August 6, 1933, he was a son of the late Joseph and Rose Menichiello Sarti.
He was a graduate of Pittston Township High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War. Guy worked as a welder for over 40 years first at Superior Door then at Suckle Corporation. He was a lifelong member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Dominick, James, Joseph and Phillip Sarti, and sisters Theresa Jerock, Mary Steidl, and Ann Sarti.
Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Gwen Moore Sarti; daughters, Sharon Parker, Moosic; Kelly Wroblewski and husband Edward, Silver Spring, MD; and Amy Durkin and husband Brian, Moosic; 8 grandchildren; brothers Albert Sarti, Duryea and John Sarti and his wife Sharon, Avoca; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, December 28, 2018, at 9am from Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Interment will follow in Marcy Cemetery, Duryea. Friends may call Thursday, December 27, 2018, from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
