Paul M. Hassel, 78, of Wilkes-Barre, passed away Thursday, March 31, 2016 in Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.Born October 23, 1937 in Wilkes-Barre he was the son of the late Ralph and Alice Stiles Hassel.
He was a graduate of E.L. Meyers High School, Wilkes-Barre and had worked in the local furniture manufacturing industry for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth Sawchak Hassel; brothers, Ralph Hassel, Jr.; Robert Hassel and Edward Hassel.
Surviving are three daughters, Martha Mary Hassel; Catherine and her husband Justin DePasquale; and Evette Hassel, all of Wilkes-Barre; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Blessing Service will be held Thursday, April 7, 2016 at 11:00am in the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William Street, Pittston. Friends may call from 10:00am until the time of the blessing service at the funeral home. Private interment will be held in St. John’s Russian Orthodox Cemetery, Pringle at the convenience of the family.
