Jean Giordina, 86, of Pittston, passed away Friday, February 19th, 2016 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was the wife of the late James N. “Gio” Giordina. Born in Blakely on January 4th, 1930, she was the daughter of the late John and Lena (Bianchi) Sorcinelli. She was a graduate of Blakely High School. Rita A. Gubitosa, 92, formerly of Pittston Township passed away Thursday evening, February 18, 2016 in Wilkes Barre General Hospital. Born in Pittston on June 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Elisa Collettini Castellani. She was a graduate of Pittston Township High School, class of 1941. She was married in 1943, for twenty years, to Edmund Gubitosa. Together they ran the Stone Jug Tavern in Avoca for many years. She retired from RCA factory in Mountainto
