Emily Ann Herron, 68, of Jenkins Township, passed away Sunday, July 19, 2020 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Born in Pittston on June 6, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Steve and Margaret Gilley Smutko. Emily was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and had worked as a secretary for Heather Highlands. Joanne (Garubba) Herron, 64, of Meshoppen, formerly of Pittston, passed away Saturday morning, February 2nd in Geisinger Community Medical Center, Scranton. Born July 24, 1954, in Utica, NY, she was the daughter of John and Anne Salvatore Garubba, of Pittston. Joanne was a graduate of Pittston High School, class of 1973 and had worked for Party Time. She was like a “Dear Abby” to others, she would put her problems aside and listen to what other people had to say and try to he
