Beverly Ann Boos


Beverly Ann Boos, 69, of Pittston died Friday at Wesley Village after battling cancer. She and her husband, Carl Jerry Boos, were married 40 years this past June. Born in Pittston on June 3, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Charles Pahl and Grace Pahl Vaiksnis and stepfather Joseph Vaiksnis.

Beverly was a graduate of Pittston High School. She had worked at Wesley Village and The Laurels in the business office for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Eucharist. Over the past several years, Beverly spent the majority of her time volunteering as a costume designer and seamstress at the Phoenix Theater in Duryea, where she had many close friends and enjoyed working with the kids.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Pahl.

Surviving along with her husband, Jerry are daughters, Jill Sherinsky and her fiancé, Pat Liberaski, Dallas and Wendy Guzenski and her husband, Bob, Swoyersville; step-children, Kay Boos, Pittston Township, Marita Tomaszewski and her husband, Michael Tomaszewski, West Wyoming, Joanne Costello and her husband, Bob Costello, Pittston, Carl Boos, Exeter, and Lisa Boos, Morris Township, New Jersey; grandchildren, Joey and Justin Sherinsky, Janine and Michael Tomaszewski, Bob and Matt Costello, and her grand-dog, Oscar.

Also surviving are her twin brother, David Pahl and his wife, Rita, Jenkins Twp., sisters-in-law Ellin Pahl, West Pittston, Marita Pipan and her husband, Cyril, Westford, Mass., Nancy Dickson and her husband, Robert, Sumter, SC., and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Donations in Beverly’s name are asked to be made to Our Lady of the Eucharist Church.

The funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm Tuesday, January 19th from the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, Pittston with a mass of Christian burial at 1:00 pm in Our Lady of The Eucharist Church, 535 North Main St., Pittston. Interment will be in the St. Mary’s Assumption Cemetery, Rock Street, Hughestown.

Friends may call Monday, January 18th from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
