Michael R. Cituk, 79, of Dupont, passed away Monday, February 1, 2016 in Wesley Village, Jenkins Township.Born in Pittston on November 20, 1936, he was the son of the late Alex and Pauline Figuera Cituk.
He attended Dupont schools and had worked for 52 years as a short-order cook at the Central Lunch in Pittston. Mike enjoyed spending time in his flower garden where he grew beautiful roses.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Alex, Hank, Frank, John, Joseph and Walter Cituk and sisters, Ann Rowker, Helen Arena and Mary Wyso.
Surviving is his wife, Lois Tigue Cituk. Also surviving are sister-in-law, Ruth Burns, North Wales; brother-in-law, John Tigue and his wife Catherine, Mountaintop; numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, February 4, 2016 at 9:30am in Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 215 Lackawanna Avenue, Dupont. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William Street, Pittston from 5pm-8pm.
