Merrie Watkins-Boyle, 56, of Pittston, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2016 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. Born on June 22, 1959 at Nellis Air Force Base, Las Vegas NV, she was the daughter of Boyd Watkins and the late Harriett Hufford Watkins.
In her earlier years, Merrie worked in the local garment industry. She had traveled with a national carnival for a few years in her early twenties. She touched the heart of everyone she met. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by brothers, William H. Watkins and Boyd Watkins.
Surviving are her husband, John Boyle, Pittston; daughter, Rainy Ann Cloud Boyle, Pittston; sister, Patricia Watkins, Sugarloaf; brother-in-law, Joe Boyle, Pittston; sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
A Memorial Visitation will be held Saturday, April 23, 2016 from 5pm-8pm at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William Street, Pittston. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
