James M. Mulé


James M. Mulé, 59, of Pittston, passed away after a long, courageous battle with lung disease Thursday, July 7, 2016 in the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania surrounded by his loving family. Born in Kingston on June 29, 1957, he was the son of the late Joseph and Eleanor Shedlock Mulé.

He was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School, class of 1975 and received a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Business Management from Kings College.

Jim was a self-employed Pittston businessman for over 35 years. He had an entrepreneurial business style and was very dedicated to Pittston City. Jim was the owner of JM Dollar Saver for over ten years and owner of Pittston Printery. He also sold gold, diamonds, and fine jewelry. Jim was a car enthusiast and truly enjoyed restoring old cars. Jim loved hosting family gatherings, cooking on the grill and gardening in his backyard. He had an unforgettable sense of humor and was a kind, generous, and giving person. His numerous acts of kindness and charity will go forever untold.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, George Dructor; uncle, Charlie Remas and his pet Bichon of 17 years, Cheyenne.

Surviving are his wife, Denise Dructor Mulé. They recently celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary and had been together for 38 years. Also surviving are his brother, Joseph Mulé and his wife Katie, Mountaintop; godparents and aunt/uncle, Francie and Jimmy Pisano, Exeter; mother-in-law, Martha Remas Dructor; aunt, Bernice Remas, West Pittston whose extraordinary dedication, love and support could not go unmentioned and will be forever remembered; god-daughter, Valerie Remas, Wapwallopen; nieces; nephews; cousins; and his beloved pet Bichon, Bella.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 10:00am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Tuesday morning. The family will receive friends and relatives, in the church, from 9am until the time of mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Chapel Street, Pittston. Memorial donations may be made to Care and Concern Ministries, 35 William Street, Pittston. Arrangements are entrusted to the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William Street, Pittston.
