Donna DeAngelo Granteed, 64, of Pittston Township, passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2016, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Pittston on November 6, 1951, she was the daughter of Mary (Marino) DeAngelo of Pittston Township and the late Daniel D. DeAngelo.
She was a graduate of St. John’s High School, Pittston and Bloomsburg University. Donna retired from Pittston Area School District after 30 years as a teacher.
In addition to her mother, Donna is survived by her husband, David Granteed; daughters, Marin Granteed, Maryland and Kelsey Granteed, Pittston Township; brother, Daniel DeAngelo and his wife Camille, Florida and their daughter, Amanda; father-in-law, Joseph D. Granteed, Sr., Exeter; sisters-in-law, Karen Granteed Daniels and her husband, Donald, Harding; Mary Jo Granteed, NJ; and Gina Granteed Kross and her husband, Ted, Exeter; brothers-in-law, Joseph D. Granteed, Jr., Plains; and Ronald Granteed and his wife Toni Joy, West Pittston; aunts; uncles and cousins.
In accordance with Donna’s wishes, there will be no visitation. She also asked that you keep her family in your prayers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, August 8, 2016, at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William Street, Pittston.
