Thomas Richards, 91, of Pittston, passed away Friday, October 7, 2016 in Timber Ridge Health Care Center Wilkes- Barre. Born in Pittston on April 17, 1925, he was the son of the late Thomas and Hattie Rose Richards.
He attended Pittston schools and had worked for Newcomb Brothers Coal Company and West Pittston Consolidated Cigar Company.
Thomas was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church Pittston.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Ann L. (Lynch) Richards in 2007, sisters Mary Keating, Alice Pompiewicz, Ruth Richards and brother Frank Richards.
Thomas is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at 9:30am in St. John the Evangelist Church Pittston. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. John’s Cemetery Pittston. There will be no calling hours.
