Adele Esposito Grieco, 85 of the Cork Lane section of Pittston Township passed Friday, October 21, 2016 in the Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore.
Adele was born in Castelcivita, Italy the daughter of the late Pasquale and Antonia Gigiello Esposito. She was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish.
Adele was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Angelo Grieco and sister Angelina Tedisco.
She is survived by daughters Rose Sanguedolce, and husband, Samuel of Hughestown and Antoinette O’Boyle, and husband Patrick of Pittston Township; grandsons, Samuel, Leonard and Angelo Sanguedolce, and Patrick and Kevin O’Boyle; great grandsons, Jack, Ben, Lenny, Nick, and Santino Sanguedolce and Flynn O’Boyle; brother Louis Esposito and wife, Dora of Yatesville; brother-in-law John Grieco and wife Maria of Yatesville; sister-in-law Carmina Grieco of Castelcivita, Italy; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Fasciana, the staff at Geisinger Wyoming Valley, and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the care and compassion they showed to Adele.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 9:30 AM in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 Willian St., Pittston. There will be no calling hours. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church Tuesday morning. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family in St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston Township. Arrangements are entrusted to the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 Willian Street, Pittston.
