Theresa Ann Tarullo


Theresa Ann Tarullo, 85, of Pittston passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 23, 2016. Born in Pittston on May 25, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Theresa Ritz Vomero.

She graduated from Pittston High School; St. John’s Business School; and Wilkes-Barre School of Nursing. She retired in 1992 as an LPN from Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

Theresa was a devout catholic, a member of the former St. Rocco’s Church, now St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston. She was a kind, loving, and gentle soul. Her faith in God and her love for her family were the most important aspects of her life. She enjoyed cooking and taking care of everyone. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Master Sergeant Daniel Joseph Tarullo in 1967; son, Daniel Joseph Tarullo II; brother, Louis Vomero; twin brother, Angelo Vomero; sister, Mary Ciotola.

Surviving are her daughter, Bernadette Tarullo, Pittston with whom she resided; sons, David Tarullo and his wife Maria, West Pittston; and Donald Tarullo, Wyomissing; daughter-in-law, Dorothy Tarullo, Staunton, VA; sister-in-law, Irene Vomero, Whitehall, PA; 8 grandchildren, Jason, Christopher and Patrick Tarullo; Rebecca and Ashley Tarullo; Debbie Megginson; Christine Hall; and Danielle Tarullo; 3 great-grandchildren, Selena and Denae Tarullo; and Daniel Hall; numerous cousins; nieces; and nephews.

Special thank you to Dr. Gibbons; Hospice of the Sacred Heart; as well as to Mary Ester Terruso and Joanne Ramage for their loving care, kindness, and unending respect for Theresa.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at 9am from the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William Street, Pittston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 5pm to 8pm at the funeral home.
