Janet Boughton, 68, of Pittston Township, passed away surrounded by her family Wednesday, May 31, 2017 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Pittston on May 29, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Michael J. Charge and Jeanette Litz Charge.
She was a graduate of St. John’s High School and McCann School of Business with an associate’s degree in accounting. Prior to retirement, she had worked as a loan documentation reviewer in the local banking industry.
She was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston. She was a loving mother and will be truly missed by her family.
Surviving are her children, Jude Boughton, Austin Tx; Michelle Boughton, Pittston Township; Jennifer Boughton, Pittston and Erin Boughton, Pittston Township; uncles, George Litz, Cresco; Patrick Chairge; Anthony Chairge and his wife Patricia; and John Chairge all of Pittston Township; as well as her husband, William Boughton, Scranton, and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be Monday, June 5, 2017 at 9:00am from Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Pittston Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, June 4, 2017 from 4pm-7pm at the funeral home.
