Margaret Mary (Moran) Balchun, 72, of Wyoming, formerly of Pittston, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2017 in Wesley Village, Jenkins Township. Born in Pittston on May 5, 1945, she was the daughter of the late John E. and Anna B. Judge Moran.
She was a graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School, Pittston. Margaret had worked as a restaurant manager at Victoria Inns and prior to that she owned and operated Moran’s II.
She enjoyed cooking, playing scrabble, and spending time with friends and family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Paul A. Balchun and a brother John Moran.
Surviving are her daughter, Andrea Shaw, Kingston; sons, Paul J. Balchun and his wife Rhonda, Renovo; John Balchun, Inkerman; Anthony Balchun and his wife Katherine, Arlington, VA; David Balchun and his wife Nancy, Wilkes-Barre; and Scott Balchun and his wife Abigail, Hershey; 14 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter.
Friends may call Friday, June 9, 2017 at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston from 5pm to 7:30pm. A Blessing Service will follow at 7:30pm in the funeral home. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
