Lena Lynch, 90, of West Pittston passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 in Highland Manor, Exeter. Born in West Pittston on December 17, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Theresa Chiampi Manganello.
She was a graduate of West Pittston High School, class of 1944. Prior to retirement, she had worked for the Wyoming Area School District in the cafeteria.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish at Immaculate Conception Church and its Altar and Rosary Society.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt and will be truly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph M. Lynch in 1999; daughter, Patricia (Patty) Walsh in 2006; brother, Frank Manganello; and sister, Carmella Noto.
Surviving are her son, Joseph Lynch and his wife Michele, Blandon, PA; son-in-law, John Walsh, West Pittston; sister-in-law, Anne Manganello, West Pittston; grandchildren, Brian Walsh and his wife Kristen, Meghan Walsh, Kristen Walsh and Katie Lynch; great-granddaughter, Kerrigan Walsh; nieces that were more like daughters to her, Corrine Hudzinski and Ann Marie Noto as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, June 19, 2017 at 10:00am in Corpus Christi Parish at Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. The family will receive friends and relatives in the church from 9am until the time of mass. Interment will follow in West Pittston Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
