Rosemary Mercincavage, 77, of Exeter, passed away Tuesday, June 20, 2017 in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Pittston on October 16, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Catherine (Anzalone) Bosco. She attended West Pittston schools.
In her earlier years, Rosemary had been employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry having worked for Drury Clothing and Main Pants. Later, she had worked in Housekeeping at the Knights Inn and most recently, she had worked as a Nurses’ Aide for Silver Care.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be truly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Edward Mercincavage, brother James Bosco, sister Connie Carey.
Surviving are her daughter Judy and her husband Mark Prebola, Wilkes-Barre, son Donald Tonkin, Exeter; grandchildren, Demitria Tonkin, Nanticoke and Michele Lasota and her husband Tom, Kingston; great-grandchildren Cody and Talia Lasota, sister Cathy Ciccarelli and her husband William, Chambersburg, numerous nieces and nephews.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
