Charles Joseph Martin, 72, of Hughestown, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 28, 1944, he was the son of the late Abel and Tekla Martin.
He was a graduate of Wilkes-Barre Township schools and had been employed as a union pipefitter. He was a member of Local #524 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sara Ann (Cummings) Martin and son, Paul Martin.
Surviving are his son Charles (C.J.) Martin and his wife Jennifer, Old Forge; grandchildren Samantha Martin, Paul Martin and Kallie Martin; great-granddaughter Hallie Goodlavage; sister, Florence Martin; brothers Raymond, Edward and Michael Martin; numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, August 25, 2017 from 9am-11am in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston to be followed by a Blessing Service at 11am. Interment, St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Pittston.
