Theresa Marie (Iacona) Beatty of Wilkes-Barre died Tuesday, October 17th, 2017 at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Pittston on October 13th, 1950, Theresa was the daughter of the late Cataldo and Adelene Mangione Iacona. Theresa was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School.
She worked as an orthodontic assistant for over 30 years with Nahas and Donahue Orthodontics. Aside from being a devoted wife, mother, and sister, she enjoyed clam night with a cold beer, but had to be home before eight o'clock to catch all of her shows. God forbid she ever got a DVR player.
She loved the beach but hated that damn sand, had a true fondness for choice four letter words at any given moment, was always one day away from winning the lottery or the jackpot on those pesky slot machines, and had a true passion for all of her beloved pets. She loved to hate being pranked, especially at work, and had a unique bond with each of her coworkers that will be deeply missed. Theresa certainly did not like to be out of her element; however, deep down loved every second of it. For all who have ever met Theresa, she left a lasting impression, and that's how she would have liked to be remembered.
Theresa is survived by her husband Dennis F. Beatty of Wilkes-Barre; son, Jesse Bubul and his wife, Carrie of Wyoming, PA; sister, Jeanne Evans and her husband, David of San Diego, CA; brother, Sam Iacona and wife, Sue of Harding, PA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at 9:30AM in St. Joseph Marello Church, 237 William Street, Pittston. The family will receive friends from 8:30AM until the time of mass. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC.
