Minnie Bartell, 90, of Wyoming passed away Sunday evening, November 5, 2017 at home. Born in Hughestown on December 23, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Grace Orlando Silver.
She was a graduate of Hughestown High School, class of 1944.
Minnie retired as an Administrative Aide for the Social Security Administration.
She was a life member of the Second Presbyterian Church, Parsonage Street, Pittston and in 2016, she was honored as the Member of the Year. Minnie was a member of the Italian American Association of Luzerne County; an active member of the Pittston Senior Citizens; and a volunteer for the Riverside Adult Day Care Center, receiving a certificate of appreciation for her dedication and caring.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, cousin and friend and will be truly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bartell and grandson, Robert Joseph Bartell.
Surviving are her son, Joseph Bartell and his wife, Roseann, Wyoming; grandson, Joseph Bartell, Jr., Baltimore, MD; and numerous cousins.

Religious services will take place Saturday, November 11, 2017 at 11:00am in Second Presbyterian Church, 143 Parsonage Street, Pittston with Rev. Rebecca Tanner officiating. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Saturday morning. Entombment will follow in Denison Mausoleum. Friends may call Friday, November 10, 2017 from 4pm-7pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. Memorial donations may be made to Second Presbyterian Church.
