Charles A. Pizano


Charles A. Pizano, 85, of Exeter passed away Monday evening, November 6, 2017 in Highland Manor, Exeter. Born in Exeter on January 5, 1932, he was the son of the late Louis and Martha Palachanis Pizano.

Charles was a graduate of Exeter High School and served in the US Army during the Korean War.

He retired from Olympic pools where he had worked for many years.

Charles enjoyed working in his yard and cutting grass and was always ready to help others. He was a member of The Parish of St. Barbara, St. Anthony’s Church, Exeter and was also a member of the American Legion, Swoyersville.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years Mary Italiani Pizano; sons, Charles Pizano Jr and his wife Darlene, Yatesville and Kenneth Pizano and his wife Lori, Dallas; grandchildren, Michael Pizano; Kenneth Pizano and Amanda Pizano; sister, Joan Siani, Texas; brothers, James Pizano, Exeter and Louis Pizano, Exeter; numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, November 10, 2017 at 10am in The Parish of St. Barbara, 28 Memorial Avenue, Exeter. The family will receive friends and relatives in the church from 8:30am until the time of mass. Private interment will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
