Louis A. Adams


Louis A. Adams, 87, of Dupont passed away on Saturday November 11, 2017, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Dupont on October 28, 1930 he was the son of the late Louis and Florence Pasquariello Adams.

Louis was a graduate of Dupont High School and the University of Scranton. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. He worked for more than 35 years as a pharmaceutical representative. He was well known and highly regarded throughout the medical community, receiving many awards throughout his career.

Louis loved life and was known for his warm smile, compassionate heart, and generous spirit. He was devoted to his family and friends. He cherished his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them, especially their annual family vacation to Stone Harbor, NJ. He was an avid Penn State fan and loved attending every game. After retirement Louis greatly enjoyed spending winters in Deerfield Beach, FL with his long time partner, Marilyn Smith. Louis was a proud member of the Dupont AM VETS.

In addition to his parents, Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Stulgis Adams and his sister Juane Adams.

Louis is survived by three daughters, Michele Parker (Randy), Alexandria, VA, Deborah Jabco (Scott), Pleasant Gap, PA, and Mary Jane Gloria (Vince), Bangor, PA; five grandchildren, Kristen Southmayd (Geoff), Malvern, PA, Adam Parker, Alexandria, VA, Emily Jabco, Arlington, VA, Nicholas Jabco, Pleasant Gap, PA, and Lauren Gloria, Bangor, PA. He is also survived by his sister, Frances Gratalo, Dupont, long-time partner, Marilyn Smith, Deerfield Beach, FL, and many nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday November 18, 2017 at 9:30 AM in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Saturday morning. Friends may call Friday November 17, 2017 from 4-7 PM at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC 251 William Street, Pittston. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville.
