Suzanne Elizabeth Golden (nee Boland), age 87, died peacefully, surrounded by her family, on November 26, 2017. Suzanne was born in Archbald and raised in Dunmore.
She graduated from Marywood Seminary and Columbia University School of Nursing and worked as a nurse before starting her family. She resided in West Pittston for 44 years.
Suzanne was a long-time volunteer at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, serving on the Ladies Auxiliary, and was a devoted member of the Immaculate Conception Church choir (now Corpus Christi Parish), also serving as an Extraordinary Minister.
She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Harriett Boland.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles.
Suzanne is survived by her two sons, Timothy (Carol) and Patrick (Ann Marie) and by her four daughters, Eileen Truax, Grace Carlino (Jerry), Jennifer Olshevski (Steve), and Claudia Golden, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives Wednesday, November 29, 2017, in Corpus Christi Parish, 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston from 8:45 to 9:45 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Corpus Christi Parish. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
