Jacinta A. Nocera


Jacinta A. Nocera, 51, of Falls, passed away Monday evening, December 11, 2017 in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township. Born in Scranton on June 19, 1966, she was the daughter of Lucille Vancosky Carey and the late Emlyn Carey.

Jacinta was a graduate of Old Forge High School and Lackawanna Business School. She was the owner/operator of Mountain View Medical Billing since 1995.

She truly loved her family and enjoyed a good party with family and friends. She enjoyed playing board games as well as attending her three sons’ many sporting events over the years. Jacinta loved driving her Ford Expedition. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother and will be greatly missed.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, Church of the Holy Redeemer, Harding.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Lucia Petrosky.

Surviving in addition to her mother, are her husband of 31 years, David Nocera; three sons, Thomas Nocera, Dupont; Dave Nocera and his girlfriend Carissa Chrobak, Dupont; and Austin Nocera, Falls; sister Theresa Carey, Old Forge; brother Scott Carey, Old Forge; mother-in-law Connie Nocera, Dunmore; brother-in-law Thomas Nocera; numerous nieces and nephews.

Special thank you to Dr. Houser and Dr. Guerrero, the staff of Geisinger Wyoming Valley ICU 6th floor, and all the nurses at Cancer Center for the compassionate care and kindness they gave to Jacinta.

The family will receive friends and relatives in Corpus Christi Parish, Church of the Holy Redeemer, Rt. 92 Harding on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 9:30 am until 11:00 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. Interment, Mountain View Burial Park, Harding. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC., 251 William Street, Pittston.
