Norma J. Pascucci

Norma J. Pascucci, 87, of Pittston Township, passed away peacefully Saturday morning, February 24, 2018 after a lengthy illness. She had been under the care of Celtic Hospice while residing briefly in Highland Manor Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Exeter.

Norma was born and lived most of her life in Jenkins Township. She was the daughter of the late Francesco and Giuseppa (Tironzelli Loretti) Pascucci, where she learned all things Italian, including how to be the best “sauce maker” in the family.

Norma was a graduate of Jenkins Township High school. She retired from Metropolitan Life Insurance Company where she had worked as a bookkeeper for many years. After her retirement, to keep herself busy, she worked as a bookkeeper for Swade Auto until as recently as last year. Age did not slow Norma down in the least, proven by her getting a speeding ticket this past fall.

Although Norma was a life-long member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston, she volunteered many years also at the Oblates of St. Joseph, Laflin. In her prime, Norma exemplified service above self, a role model for all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Peter Loretti; Lena (Loretti) Luchetti; brother-in-law Philip Luchetti; brothers Primo Pascucci and Secondo Pascucci; sisters-in-law Sarafine Pascucci and Josephine Menichetti; nephews Robert Luchetti; Francis (Manny) Senausky; and Patrick O’Malley.

Surviving are sister-in-law, Genevieve Pascucci, Forty-Fort, nieces and nephews Ronald Luchetti and his wife Jackie, NY; Sharon Senausky, Trucksville; Frank Pascucci and his wife Ruth, Wyoming; Michele O’Malley Daly and her husband John, Plains; Mary Pascucci, Sugarloaf; and Kay Luchetti, Laflin; along with many loving great nieces and great nephews, and wonderful friends Nancy Lane and Elaine DeMarco who were always a great help to her.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. The family will receive friends and relatives in the church from 8:30am until the time of mass. Interment will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
