Dolores Catherine Pond, 64, of Factoryville, formerly of Spring Brook Township, died Saturday, March 3, 2018. Born in Dupont on August 18, 1953, she was the daughter of Gabriel X. Opello and the late Ceclia Wasik Opello.
She was a graduate of North Pocono High School. She was a board member of Community Care Mental Health for Lackawanna and Susquehanna Counties and had worked for Warm Line for ten years. She also worked as a sous chef at St. Mary’s Center, Scranton.
In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband of 15 years, David H. Pond; brother Ronald Opello and his wife Ann Marie, NC; sisters Louise McCarthy and her husband Mark, TX and Karen Dougherty and her husband Michael, PA; 4 stepchildren; 6 step grandchildren; numerous aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews and in-laws.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 1pm-3pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A religious service will take place at 2pm.
