Grace C. Loyack, 84, formerly of West Pittston, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at Timber Ridge Health Care Center, Wilkes-Barre. Born in Pittston on May 24, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Angelina Tabone Pugliese.
She attended Pittston schools. Grace worked as an Avon Representative for many years; during her time selling Avon, she developed relationships with faithful customers and received several awards for being a top seller. Above all else, Grace's main focus was her family, whom she loved to cook for and spend time with. She was especially proud of her Italian heritage. Grace was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, cousin and friend, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Luke A. Loyack; daughter-in-law Dorothy Loyack; sisters Frances Ostroski and Carmella Pisano.
Surviving are her son Luke Loyack, Forty-Fort; daughter Lois Ellsworth and her husband Gene, Harding; grandchildren Jennifer Loyack Turner and her husband Chris; Jessica Loyack; Gene Ellsworth; and Alex Ellsworth and his fiancé Alyssa Zekoski; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Grace's family would like to extend a warm thank you to the staff at Timber Ridge Health Care Center who took excellent care of her. Her caregivers were her second family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at 10am in Corpus Christi Parish, Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Avenue, West Pittston. The family will receive friends and relatives in church from 8:30am until the time of mass. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Social Concern at Corpus Christi Parish, Immaculate Conception Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
