Ann Lorraine Johns, 76, of Wyoming, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre. Born in Pittston on March 28, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Miller and Anna (Stravinski) Antonello.
She was a graduate of Pittston High School and received a Bachelor’s degree from Misericordia University. In her earlier years, Ann was a music teacher. She dedicated most of her life to her husband and raising her children. She served as President of the Wyoming-West Wyoming Junior Warriors Mini Football organization, she managed a championship Wyoming-West Wyoming Little League Softball team, and she was an assistant Girl Scout troop leader. After raising her family and prior to her retirement, she was employed as a bank teller. She was a long-time member of the Our Lady of Fatima Grotto in Wilkes-Barre, and served as Treasurer for 6 years. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and will be truly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Harry J. Antonello and sisters Jean Monteforte and Eleanor A. Antonello.
Surviving are her husband of 53 years, Milton E. Johns; sons, Milton C. Johns and his wife Shellie, VA; Mark Johns and his wife Ann, Horsham; and daughter, Kimberly Johns and her husband Christos Varkoutas, NY; grandchildren Katie McDermott; Nicole Phillips; Caitlin Johns; Milton Wyatt Johns; Eliana Varkoutas; Michael Varkoutas; and Anastasia Varkoutas; 3 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 30, 2018 at 9am from Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Friends may call Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 4pm-7pm at the funeral home.
