Charles Salvo, 89, of Pittston, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at home. He was born February 23, 1929, in Pittston and was the son of the late Samuel and Gaetana (Rose) Marranca Salvo.
He attended Pittston schools. Charles managed the hospitality shop at Valley Crest Nursing Home Wilkes-Barre for many years.
He was a member of the former St. Rocco’s Church, now St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston. Charles was a loving brother, uncle and friend. He brought joy and friendship to everyone around him. He will be greatly missed and loved for years to come.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Josephine (Josie) Abate Salvo; brothers, Michael Salvo and Samuel (Herkie) Salvo; and his best buddy Snuffy.
Surviving are brother, Archie Salvo and his wife Delores, Pittston; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 9am from Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish. Interment will follow in St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston. Friends may call today from 5pm-8pm at the funeral home.
