William Davis, 75 of Dupont, passed away Saturday, August 4, 2018. Born in Pittston on November 16, 1942, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Helen (McCabe) Davis.
He was a graduate of Hughestown High School and retired from Techniglas where he had worked as a welder.
William was a member of the Francis Dorance Chapter of the Pennsylvania Archeological Society; St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston; the Dupont Volunteer Hose Co., and the Dupont Polish Club. He ws an avid outdoorsman; from catching trout in the Delaware River to hunting rabbits with his two beagles, Sadie and Daisy.
In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his wife Sharon (Rodola) Davis in 2001; and brothers Patrick and Teddy Davis.
Surviving are his son Michael Davis, Dupont; daughter Rebecca Davis and her fiancé Mary Pitek, Philadelphia; granddaughter Kelli Sharon Davis; brothers Kenneth Davis, Craig, CO; Robert Davis, North Brunswick, NJ; and Tom Davis, Yatesville; numerous nieces and nephews; and long-time companion Camille Stanis, Hughestown.
Funeral services will be Monday, August 13, 2018 at 9am from Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Interment will follow in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call Sunday, August 12, 2018 from 4pm to 7pm at the funeral home.
