Mary Ann Grace (Scarantino) Vaxmonsky, 69, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2018, surrounded by loved ones.
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of late Salvatore and Theresa (Grippi) Scarantino.
She was a lifelong active member of the Roman Catholic Church, where she frequently volunteered to aide in the comfort of others.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Vaxmonsky, brothers, Nick Scarantino, Sammy Scarantino, Louis Scarantino, Joe Marsala, Ross Marsala, and sister Louise (Scarantino) Grennie.
Surviving are her sons William Vaxmonsky and Brian Vaxmonsky, both of Charleston, SC, brothers Leonard Scarantino of Duryea, Joseph Scarantino of West Pittston, Pete Scarantino of Pittston, and sisters Carmella (Scarantino) Dorsey of Gainesville, FL, Grace Scarantino of Pittston.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 9:30am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Saturday morning. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Schooley Avenue, Exeter.
Friends may call Friday, November 9, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. Donations may be made in Mary Ann’s memory to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 950 Darrel Creek Trail, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29466.
