Margaret (Peggy) A. Loiacono Ostrosky, 84, formerly of Pittston, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018 in Geisinger South Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Wilkes-Barre on December 5, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Theresa Christano Loiacono.
Peggy was a graduate of Pittston High School, Class of 1952. In her earlier years, she was involved with the family business, The Red Mill Tavern, Pittston and had also worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry. Peggy was a member of the ILGW Union and St. Joseph Marello Parish, Pittston.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Ostrosky in 2007; brothers Joseph Loiacono in 2006; Peter Loiacono in 1980; and Fred Loiacono in 1998.
Surviving is her sister Marilyn Monahan, Jenkins Township and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 26, 2018 at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Monday morning. Interment will follow in Denison Cemetery, Swoyersville. Friends may call Sunday, November 25, 2018 from 4pm-7pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
