Dorothy A. Dominick, 71, of Hughestown passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018. Born in Pittston on February 23, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Romanowski) Gorcenski.
She graduated from Northeast High School and Lackawanna Beauty School, both in 1964. She worked in various beauty shops and in the garment industry. Her last employment was for Yatesville Bus Company.
She is now reunited with the love of her life, her husband, Angelo, after 44 years of marriage, who passed away on August 13, 2012.
She was preceded in death by brothers Joseph and Frank; sister Jean Bushinski; niece and godchild Mary Allison Bushinski; sisters-in-law Rita and Cathy and her cat, Mittens.
Dorothy is survived by her wonderful, caring and devoted daughter Lisa Michele who was also her best friend and best ever son-in-law, Patrick Pisano of Hughestown; brother Bernie of Duryea and his companion Cynthia Zondlo of Dupont; sister-in-law Eleanor of Pittston; brother-in-law Richard Bushinski of Pittston Township; nieces; nephews; cousins; Erin DeLeo, Nana’s special girl; and grandkittens Angelina, Dominick, Sunny and Share.
She enjoyed reading, needle point; and most of all baking cookies with Lisa and Pat to give away to family and friends.
She was a member of St. Joseph Marello Parish, Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pittston. By her request, funeral services were private.
