Michael (Jerry) Fedor


Michael (Jerry) Fedor, 88, formerly of West Pittston, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2018, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center.

Born in Exeter on November 3, 1930, he was the son of the late Michael Fedor and Helen (Vaxmonsky) Fedor Bonchonsky.

He was a graduate of Exeter High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Queens College.

He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion and had served as Chaplain.

Jerry was an entrepreneur involved in numerous businesses throughout his life. He retired as a Director with CEO and Chairman of their Weatherization Program.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and Godfather, and will be truly missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son Michael John Fedor; grandson Zachary Joseph Lopian; and brother Joseph E. Fedor.

Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Bernadine (Wargo) Fedor; daughter Dianne Fedor Lopian and her husband Kenneth, Mendham, NJ; grandson Kenneth Michael Lopian and his wife MaryAlyse (Aly), Chatham, NJ; great-granddaughter Carter Grace Lopian, Chatham, NJ; sister Mary Evelyn Capuano and husband Honorable Earl Capuano; sisters-in-law Marianne Best; Jacqueline Pevney; and Rosella Fedor Purcell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, November 29, 2018 at 11am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church on Thursday morning. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery, Exeter. Friends may call Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 4pm-6pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
