Therese Anne (Missy) Newcomb, 62, of Pittston, formerly of New Cumberland, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2019.
Born in Pittston on September 30, 1956, she was the daughter of Anne Quinnan Newcomb and the late William A. Newcomb.
She was a 1974 graduate of St. John’s High School, Pittston and 1978 graduate of Wilkes College. In her earlier years, Missy worked at the Miners Bank in Pittston and after college graduation, she began working as a computer analyst for the Navy in Mechanicsburg. She retired as a systems analyst for the U.S. Army Logistics Innovation Agency.
In addition to her father, Missy was preceded in death by a brother William C. Newcomb.
In addition to her mother, surviving are a brother Jody Newcomb and his wife Nancy, Pittston Township; a nephew Jason Newcomb and his wife Nikki; nieces Holly Hochreiter and her husband Conrad and Kelly Rowan and her companion Jim; a great-niece and numerous great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 10am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9am-10am in the church. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.
