Jean Marie Nardone

Jean Marie Nardone, 70, of Mountaintop, peacefully passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of Santa Stella, of Pittston, and the late Joseph Limongelli.

Her greatest joy was her family. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother; and will be truly missed.

Surviving, in addition to her mother, are her husband of 48 years, Joseph R. Nardone; children Joseph J. Nardone and his wife Tara, Mountaintop; Jason Nardone and his wife Crystal, West Chester and Janelle Nardone, Mountaintop; grandchildren, Rocco and Luca Nardone; sister Sandra Appel, Pittston; brothers Danny Limongelli and his wife Louise, Bear Creek, and Joseph Limongelli and his wife Debbie, Avoca; numerous nieces and nephews.

Jean Marie was selfless in every way. She was a devoted mother and grandmother; living for her family. She touched the hearts of everyone that entered her life and was a mother to all. Her greatest joy was to cook extravagant Italian meals that had the ability to fill the house with love and laughter. She also enjoyed sneaking off to her secret missions at the casino with her sisters and cousins.

Jean Marie displayed an intense passion and pride for raising her three children. All of Jean Marie’s finest qualities are portrayed and exhibited everyday through her children. She was honored by the compassionate and caring individuals Jay, Jason, and Janelle grew up to be.

Jean Marie exuded unfathomable courage throughout every obstacle she confronted in her life. Her determination and strength was an inspiration to all.
