Martin V. Timek (Marty), 52, formerly of Pittston, passed away Saturday November 2, 2019, in Residential Inpatient Hospice, Wilkes Barre after sustaining injuries in a motorcycle crash in March 2019.
He was born on August 4, 1967. He was the son of the late William Timek and the late Theresa Laurenitis Holtzman. Marty was a 1985 graduate of Pittston Area High School where he also learned the trade of welding. Marty worked in the construction business. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed spending time at the cabin with family and friends. Marty’s love for motorcycle riding found him great friendships. He enjoyed attending Bike Week in Wildwood New Jersey annually.
He is survived by sons, Robert and wife Jill, Bear Creek; Jonathan, Plains; daughter, Christa Sheperd and husband Phil, Tennessee; his granddaughter, Paige Sheperd brought him great joy and always made him smile; significant other, JoAnn Decker, Wilkes Barre; brothers, Michael; John; Billy and wife Jessica; Jerry and wife Janice; as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Marty had a great love for dogs and will be deeply missed by his dogs Tank and Bentley.
Friends may call Tuesday, November 5, 2019 from 5pm-8pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge, 974 Lockville Road Dallas, PA 18612.
