Angelo P. Anzalone, III

Angelo P. Anzalone, III, 61, of Pittston, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 12, 2023.

 

Born in Pittston on September 8, 1962, he was the son of the late Angelo P. Anzalone, Jr. and Mary Ann Anzalone.


He was a graduate of Wyoming Area High School.  He spent his career as a baker in the local grocery industry, having worked for Bruno’s, Quinn’s, and most recently, Gerrity’s.  He was known and respected by all his co-workers.  

 

He was a member of Knights of Columbus, Council 16071 and 4th degree assembly, 948.  He was the District Deputy and past Grand Knight. He was a charter member of council 16071, and also secretary for the Northeast Board of District Deputies.  He enjoyed traveling to meet with other knights from across the state.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Iacona Anzalone in 2020.

 

Surviving are daughter Marie Kaspriski (fiancé Tom Sabetta Jr.) grandchildren, Addisyn and Luca Kaspriski; Pittston Twp, bonus granddaughter, Victoria Sabetta, West Pittston, daughter, Michelle Francis (Kevin), Pittston; sister, Mary Jo Anzalone, West Pittston; aunt, Connie Anzalone, West Pittston; Brother in law, Chuck Iacona and Sister in law, Diane Charge, niece, Lisa Pupa, all of Pittston and numerous cousins. 

 

The family will receive friends and relatives Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 5pm-7pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at 9:30am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston.  Those attending are asked to go directly to church.  Interment, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.  Memorial donations may be made to St. Joseph Marello Parish or to the Knights of Columbus, Council 16071.
