Anita Ann Giordano, 76, of Jenkins Township, passed away at home, Sunday, April 23, 2023.
Born in Pittston on July 4, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Faust and Anna Lumia Milazzo.
Anita was a graduate of Northeast High School, Lackawanna College, and Wilkes University. She had been employed as a teacher in the Pittston Area School District for many years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Milazzo.
Surviving are her son, Louis Giordano and his wife Georgianne, Jenkins Township; daughter, Jennifer Giordano and her fiancé Sean Hennessey, NJ; sisters, Mildred Ruby and her husband John, Yatesville; Ida Pisano, Jenkins Township and Coreen Milazzo, Jenkins Township; nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives Thursday, April 27, 2023, from 9am-11am in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, 535 N. Main Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am.Interment, St. Rocco’s Cemetery, Pittston Township. Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, Pittston.
