Ann Teresa Curley

Ann Teresa Curley entered into eternal life on Friday evening January 19, 2024 at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center after a brief illness.


She and her husband Tom Curley would have celebrated their 59th anniversary February 20, 2024.


Ann was born at home in Duryea on the27 of April 1934.  She was the youngest of four children born to the late John and Mary Kremitske Kutzer.


Ann was a graduate of Duryea High School class of 1957. She began her career in the savings and loan industry as a teller for many years at   First Federal Savings and Loan office in Pittston. She completed courses at Wilkes College offered by American Savings and Loan Institute of Chicago. After her marriage, she moved to Hammonton New Jersey where she was employed by the Hammonton Savings and Loan, eventually becoming its Corporate Secretary.


Ann was a devoted catholic and attended daily mass at St. Maximillian Kolbe Parish in Pocono Pine, formally Our Lady of the Lake. She was active in the Prayer Ministry, Grounds Ministry and the Collection/Accounting Ministry.


In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by all her siblings:  Thomas and his wife Mary “Blondie” Berkant, Margaret and her husband Andrew Galida and Mary and her husband Jerome ‘Kal’ Kalafut. In addition; her brother in law Joseph Curley, her brother in law   Harry Curley and his wife Joan Connors, brother in law Dr. Author O’Leary, her sister in law Mary Lucille Curley and her husband Leo Dowd, and nephews Kevin Curley, Tommy Kutzer and Jamie Curley. 


Left to mourn her loss and pray for her soul besides her husband Tom are her sister in laws Catherine Curley O’Leary, Mary Dwyer Curley and numerous nephews and nieces.


A mass of Christian burial will be held at Saint Maximilian Kolbe Roman Catholic Church in Pocono Pines at 11 a.m. on Friday morning.  Friends may visit one hour prior to the mass.


Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.


Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, Pittston.
