Anne Louise English, 83, formerly of Hughestown, passed away Friday evening August 23, 2024, in Highland Manor, Exeter.
Born in 1940 in Hughestown, where she lived her whole life. Anne was the daughter of the late William and Zelda Heice English.
Anne attended St. Mary’s Assumption School and graduated from Hughestown High School.
Anne retired from Schott, where she worked for over 30 years. She was a fan of the Green Bay Packers, she loved Charlie Brown - Snoppy and the gang, she enjoyed Star Trek, she listened to country music and was versed on all the musicians, their bands and their history. Anne had the best Christmas tree with Hallmark ornaments, she was great at Sudoku, she looked forward to the Kentucky Derby every year and loved animals, she was a dog sitter for all her family and friends. Anne was a modest person, and a loving sister and aunt. Her nieces, nephews and their families brought her so much joy.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, William English, sister-in-law Nora English and brother-in-law Robert Fedorchak.
Anne is survived by her brother, Michael R. English, sisters, Kaye Fedorchak and Dorothy Vrabel, also surviving are her nieces and nephews; Carol Ann Giacovelli (Jim), Michael John English, Richard Vrabel (Carissima), Steve Vrabel (Lisa), Lisa Skoranski (Frank), Robert Fedorchak (Mary), Cathy Quinnones (Anthony) and great nieces and nephews and great- great nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 9:30am in Our Lady of the Eucharist Parish, 535 North Main Street, Pittston. The family will receive friends and relatives from 8:30am until time of mass. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery Hughestown.
