Arthur Lombardo

Arthur Lombardo, 72, passed away in peace on May 30, 2022 at Suburban Community Hospital in Norristown, PA. He was born July 8, 1949 in Wilkes-Barre, PA to Arthur A. and Claudia Lombardo.

Arthur was a 1969 graduate of Meyers High School. He lovingly married his wife Corrinne on March 20, 1976. Arthur worked as a self-employed photographer for many years.

He is preceded in death by his father; Arthur A. Lombardo, mother; Claudia (Bell) Lombardo, and brother; Richard Lombardo and sister-in-law Donna Lombardo. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife; Corrinne (Parry) Lombardo, Pittston, daughter; Nicole Schmidt, son-in-law Brandon Schmidt, grandson, Jordan Schmidt all of North Topsail, NC; and daughter; Rachel Lombardo of Pittston, and many nephews and nieces.

Art was a dedicated husband and father, with a fun-loving personality and sense of humor. He loved Penn State football, attending many PSU home games. He enjoyed watching the JETS football games and NY Yankees baseball games with his friends, but most of all he loved auto racing sports. For years he attended many local auto races, and became the Official Track Photographer for New Evergreen Speedway in St. Johns, Pa; and later for Moc-a-tec Speedway in Lakeville, PA. Also working as contributing photographer at Pocono International and Nazareth Speedway.

He loved watching NASCAR and Formula 1 racing, but most of all, he loved Indy Championship car racing. He first attended the Indianapolis Speedway race in 1972 and attended the INDY 500 every year until 2012. We often kidded that he was like a auto racing encyclopedia.

He had a passion for his photography, and photographed many local youth sports, weddings, auto racetracks, and social events. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to ReMed Rehabilitation, in West Chester, PA for their years of loving care of Art and for treating him like their own family.
