Carla Booth Schumacher, 62, of Wilkes-Barre, died peacefully at home Friday, April 23, 2021.
Born in Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Edmund C. and Mary Cawley Booth.
Carla was a 1976 graduate of Pittston Area High School and the Wilkes-Barre Vocational LPN program. Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Geisinger Women’s Health and also provided private duty nursing for many families.
She was preceded in death by her fiancé, Michael Antal and brothers, James and Edmund Booth.
Carla is survived by her two beautiful daughters who provided wonderful care of their mother, Tara Hannon and Melissa Schumacher, Wilkes-Barre. She is also survived by the joys of her life, her three grandsons, Dathan, Eamon and Kieran; sisters, Mary Jo Soricelli, Virginia; Laura Booth, Delaware; and Erin Ostroski, Pittston; nieces and nephews.
A walk-through visitation will be held Monday,
April 26, 2021 from 5pm-7pm at Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. Blessing Service will follow. CDC guidelines of wearing a face covering and maintaining social distance will be observed.
