Carole Babuska Kizis

Carole Babuska Kizis, 82, of Exeter, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Twp.


Born in Exeter, February 11, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Michael Babuska, Sr. and Veronica Estochin Babuska.


Carole was a graduate of Exeter High School and The Pennsylvania State University, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree and was a member of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority.  She received her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from Marywood College.  Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a school teacher at Wyoming Area School District for more than 30 years.


Carole was a lector at St. Casimir’s and St. John the Evangelist Church in Pittston.  She was an avid traveler, enjoying cruises with her husband of 59 years and taking trips in the U.S. and abroad with her daughter.  Her greatest love was her family, including her two Yorkies, Misha and Chewie.  

  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Casimir Kizis III, in 2023, daughter-in-law, Barbara Mesko Kizis;  and brother, Michael.


She is survived by her husband, Casimir; daughter, Jennifer Grenoble and her husband Scott, Hershey; son, David Kizis, Plains Twp.; and nieces and nephews. 


The family will receive friends and relatives from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William St. Pittston.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Paul McDonnell.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.

Interment will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Carverton. 


Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, Pittson.
