Carole Quinn

Carole Quinn, 80, of Laflin, passed away at home surrounded by her husband and children, Tuesday, August 29, 2023.


Born in Pittston on February 20, 1943, raised in West Pittston, Carole was the daughter of the late Patrick and Helen Boyle Devers.

Carole was a graduate of St. John the Evangelist High School and Misericordia University. She was an elementary school teacher in Flemington, NJ and Falls, PA. She loved teaching, until she devoted all of her efforts to raising her children.


Carole devoted her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren; all of whom brought special joy to her. Carole treasured every moment she could spend with them. She was a woman of tremendous faith. She was the most loyal and caring friend that anyone could have. Her children describe her as the epitome of class and elegance, but at the same time, as funny, down to earth, and authentic.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Jeanne Devers White and Anne Devers Kovacs.


Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Atty. Joseph A. Quinn, Jr.; daughters, Kathleen Quinn DePillis (Mark), Wayne; Michelle Quinn, Jenkins Township; and Kimberly Quinn Hazzouri (Richard J.), Clarks Summit; grandchildren, Matthew, Julia, and Brendan DePillis; Emily Aikens; and Adrien, Declan, and Maeve Hazzouri; sisters-in-law, Patricia McDonnell (Patrick), Laflin and Maureen Scolere (Joseph), Clarks Summit; brother-in-law, Philip White, DE; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.


The family wishes to express their gratitude to Dr. David Greenwald and Associates and Ms. Tina Jopling who provided loving care to Carole during her illness.


The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, September 1, 2023, from 4pm-7pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston and Saturday, September 2, 2023, from 9am to 10am in St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am.Private entombment, Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
