Catherine L. Havrilla, 90, formerly of Exeter, passed away Wednesday morning, August 13, 2025 at Providence Place, Pottsville, where she resided.


Born in Pittston, on May 9, 1935 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pauline Manicone Colechio.

She was a graduate of Pittston High School and was the loving wife of the late Paul Havrilla, Jr. Catherine had worked in the Business Administration Office at Wyoming Area High School for many years.


Catherine was a faithful and active member of the Second Presbyterian Church, Pittston. She was a proud and loving wife, mother, and grandmother, her zest for life will be fondly remembered.


In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Colechio, and sisters, Antoinette DeVergilio and Lucy Mandicott, nephew, Frank Mandicott and niece, Cheryl Deice.


She is survived by her children; son, Paul Havrilla III and wife Bettina, Northport, NY, and daughter, Lori Burke and husband William, Port Carbon, PA, grandchildren; Andrew Havrilla, Emma Havrilla, Billy Burke, Jr and Anna Burke, numerous nieces and nephews.


A celebration of her life will be held at 11AM Saturday August 16, 2025 in the Second Presbyterian Church, 143 Parsonage St., Pittston. The family will receive friends and relatives in the church from 9:30AM until the time of service. 


Interment will take place in West Pittston Cemetery.


In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Second Presbyterian Church.

Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC – Pittston.
