Charles Constantino Chimento, 66 of Pittston, passed away peacefully Sunday February 11, 2024 at home.


Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late James and Julia LoBrutto Chimento.


Chuck was a graduate of Pittston Area High School and attended Luzerne County Community College.


In his earlier years he was a professional DJ, often preforming at the Woodlands in Plains and even in night clubs in Philadelphia. Music was a great part of his life, and he was also a talented dancer. Charles retired as a sales manager, working at many car dealerships in the local automotive industry.


Charles was a former member of St. Rocco’s Church and member of St. Joseph Marello Parish. He was an avid sports fan and always rooted for the Lakers, Yankees, Raiders, and Flyers. He was very proud of his Italian heritage, and had great love and respect for his entire family.


Charles is survived by his son and pride and joy of his life, Vincenzo Charles Chimento and his mother, Diane Cupano Luke, both of Pittston; sisters, Marie Marranca (Jody), Pittston Twp., Lucille Chimento, Wilkes-Barre, Juliann Emmett (Ralph) Jenkins Twp., and brother, John Chimento (Judy) Yatesville, and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday February 17, 2024 at 11am in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William Street, Pittston, interment to follow in St. Rocco’s Cemetery Pittston Twp.


Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC.
