Charles William Calabrese, 89, of Pittston passed away Monday, April 26, 2021 at Residential Hospice, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Pittston, in 1931, he was the son of the late Peter and Grace Palame Calabrese.
Charles was a graduate of Pittston High School and Johnson Technical School. He severed in the US Army during the Korean War.
Charles retired from Pope and Talbot, Inc. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and also enjoyed woodworking, painting, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rita Fender Calabrese, sister Antoinette and her husband Thomas Ciannilli, and brother-in-law Jack Chodnicki.
Surviving Charles are: daughter, Charlotte and her husband Bruce Moluski, Duryea; son, Robert Calabrese, Pittston; and daughter, Christine and her husband Christopher Radvanyi, Shavertown. Also surviving are grandchildren, Lauryn Moluski and Trevor Radvanyi; brother, Samuel Calabrese, Pittston; sisters, Grace Chodnicki, Pittston; and Fran and her husband Paul Rich, Exeter; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services are private and at the conveniences of the family with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC Pittston.
So sorry to hear about Charlie. I'm the lady in the waiting room with him before dialysis. I enjoyed his company and the little talk we had. I will surely miss him.Hes in a better place now.My regard to the family. Sincerely, Frances Belcher.
