Colin Patrick Finan passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 surrounded by his children and family.
Born October 25, 1970 in Pittston, he was the son of the late Martin and Jane Killian Finan.

Colin graduated from Pittston Area High School and attended Indiana State University of Pennsylvania, where he was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. He was a Production Group Leader at InterMetro Industries in Wilkes-Barre. Prior to that he worked as an independent contractor in Deep Creek, Maryland and Wilkes-Barre.
Colin was devoted to his Irish heritage, playing music with many Irish folk groups, Notre Dame football, the Pittsburgh Penguins, and the Washington Commanders. He was also active in local social clubs, particularly the Italian Citizens Club in Hudson and the Knights of Columbus (Third Degree) in Pittston.
Colin is survived by his children, Liam, Lola and Nathan Finan, who were his greatest pride
and joy. He is also survived by his eight brothers and sisters, Patricia Finan Castellano and husband, Dr. Thomas Castellano, Harvey’s Lake; Martin Finan and wife Cindy, Sacramento, California; Dr. Mary Sewatsky and husband Thomas, Pittston; James Finan and wife Sharon, Philadelphia; Sean Finan and wife Pam, Evans, Georgia; Therese Finan, Esq., Vienna, Virginia; Bronwyn (Bonnie) Lanzendorfer and husband, Richard, Pittston; and Terry Finan, Plains. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family including James and Niklas Mitchell and Kasey Appell.
Colin will always be remembered for his infectious laugh, sense of humor, singing voice, and wealth of knowledge on many subjects. The family is comforted knowing the “favorite” son has been reunited with his parents.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Geisinger Henry Cancer Center, Mary Erwine and the staff at Erwine Home Health and Hospice, Colin’s co-workers at InterMetro and especially, Grandma Carol Ann Mitchell and Grandma Michael Derafelo for their compassionate care.
The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 4pm-7pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 17, 2022, at 9:30am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William Street, Pittston. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church Monday morning.
