Colleen Ann Conlon

Colleen Ann Conlon, 65, of Inkerman, passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 19, 2021, in Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on February 22, 1956, at Andrews Air Force Base, Prince George’s County, MD; she was the daughter of the late James and Eileen Hoban Clancy.


Colleen was a graduate of Peru Central High School, Plattsburgh, NY, class of 1974 and Wilkes-Barre Business School.


Colleen had worked as a title clerk in the family business Northeast Penn Salvage, which later became Insurance Auto Auction. She was a member of St. Mark’s Church in Inkerman, where she was a CCD teacher and choir member, before it merged with St. Maria Goretti Church, Laflin.


Colleen loved spending time with her husband and best friend Jim, whether it be

traveling the world, socializing with friends, Corvette rides, or having a quiet night together at home. She was a constant source of love and support to her children who will miss her forever. Colleen was most proud of her grandchildren who gravitated toward her warmth and silly sense of humor.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded by her aunt and uncle, Mary and Edward Rogan, who were her surrogate mother and father; and father-in-law, James Conlon, Jr.


Surviving are her husband of 39 years, James Conlon III; children, Kathryn and her husband Kevin O’Boyle, Jenkins Township; James IV and his fiancé Rachel Keefer, Inkerman; and Kelly and her husband Richard Orzello, Pittston; grandchildren, Flynn, Ainsley, and Nolan O’Boyle and Richard and Elizabeth Orzello; brothers, Jim Clancy and his wife Gail, Ellicott City, MD and Michael Clancy and his wife Stephanie, Towson, MD; mother-in-law, Jean Conlon, Jenkins Township; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Mary Jo Pacchioni and her husband Ricky, Jenkins Township; Billy Conlon and his wife Maureen, Inkerman; Maureen Fetchko and her husband Joe, Pittston Township; and Bobby Conlon and his wife Karen, Inkerman; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.


In her final act of kindness, Colleen was able to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.


The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, November 26, 2021, from 3pm-8pm in Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC, 251 William Street, Pittston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, November 27, 2021, at 9:00am in St. Maria Goretti Church, 42 Redwood Drive, Laflin with Fr. Seth Wasnock, pastor officiating. Those attending are asked to go directly to the church Saturday morning. The St. Maria Goretti Bereavement Group will pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet and rosary one-half hour prior to the funeral mass. Interment, St. John the Evangelist Cemetery, Pittston. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Care and Concern Ministries of St. John the Evangelist Church, Pittston.
