Daniel A. DeLucia, Sr.

Daniel A. DeLucia, Sr., 79 of Harding, passed away Saturday November 9, 2024, at home, surrounded by his family.


Born in Pittston, he was the son of the late Joseph G. DeLucia, Sr. and Minnie Rucco DeLucia.

Daniel was a graduate of Northeast High School and served in the United States Army.

In his earlier years Daniel worked for Murray Corporation, for many years he worked for Addy Asphalt Co. and retired from Tobyhanna Army Depot.


He was a strong and generous man, always lending a helping hand to a friend, relative, or neighbor. His greatest loves, other than his wife Betty, were his children and grandchildren who he loved fiercely and with his whole heart. 


He loved hunting with his son and son-in-law;  displaying all their deer racks in his No Ma’am’s Club.


In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph G. DeLucia, Jr and sisters, Delores Kotlowski and Joanne Kroski.


Surviving, his wife of 59 years, Betty (Jurosky) DeLucia, and their children; son, Daniel A. DeLucia, Jr. and wife Mary, Harding, daughters, Deanne Tomaszewski and husband Joel, Jenkins Twp., and Nicole Nemic and husband John, Jenkins Twp., grandchildren, Mitchell and Morgan Tomaszewski and Anya and Reagan Nemic, numerous nieces and nephews.


A blessing service will be held Friday November 15, 2024 at 11:30am in the Italian Independent Cemetery, West Wyoming, those wishing to attend are asked to go directly to the cemetery.

Arrangements are entrusted to Adonizio Funeral Home, LLC.


The family would like to thank Dr. James Brady and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their tremendous care and support.

I am so sorry to Betty and family. Danny was a great guy he will be missed.
